Software Architect

We are seeking a Software Architect to play a key role in developing an industry-leading Trade Promotion Management/Sales Force Automation solution for global FMCG companies.

As a Software Architect you will be in charge of product design and implementation of our solution (XTEL).

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will help architect how we provide solutions to support field sales management and field sales execution processes and manage their complex sales force activity.

You will be joining an agile, international organization, focused on providing business value through technology. Working within the global product development team you will leverage state-of-the-art applications technologies to provide our users with the insights they need to be successful in Sales Force Management.

Furthermore, you will act as a Scrum Master and be a facilitator for an agile development team and coach the team in organizational environments in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted. Eventually, you will ensure that the agreed Agile process is being followed to help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, and relentless improvement.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.
Being responsible to design and implement long term solution to improve application and service architecture in terms of reliability, performance, and cost.
Being responsible for the troubleshooting activities in case of performance and production problems.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, and approve the final product before launch.
Oversee progress of the development team to ensure consistency with the initial design.
Exhibit Agile leadership: exhibit the behaviors of an Agile Leader with an Agile Mindset. Helps the team embrace Agile Values, adopt and apply Agile Principles, and implement Agile practices;
Support the team rules: the rules of an Agile Team are lightweight, but they are rules nonetheless, and as Scrum Master, the candidate is responsible for reinforcing them. These may include the rules of Scrum, and any other process rules the team has agreed; 
Build a high-performing team: focus on ever-improving team dynamics and performance and help the team manage interpersonal conflicts, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
Escalates people problems to management where necessary, but only after internal team processes have failed to resolve the issue.
Communicate with management and outside stakeholders and help protect the team from uncontrolled expansion of work.
 

REQUIREMENTS

Extensive experience in Data modeling, Code Reviews, Technical Design, Mentoring, and training.
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
Deep understanding of software applications architecture and infrastructure.
Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns.
Advanced knowledge of .Net C# and HTML5/JavaScript.
Advanced SQL and RDBMS architecture.
SQL performance tuning.
Leadership abilities as well as supervisory skills, time management, and problem-solving orientation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated years of technical consulting experience.
Must have worked already in leading roles in international implementations.
Independent thinking as well as the ability to think out of the box and three steps ahead.
Experience in Consumer Goods/Retail sector and in specific commercial processes (trade promotions, sales agreement, sales force automation, incentives management, retail execution) will be advantageous.
Fluent English.
Willing to travel internationally.
