We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science team in Bologna.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will have to identify and apply advanced analytics techniques in a big data paradigm and drive the integration in our Trade Promotion Optimization software solutions.

You will be dealing with a variety of global FMCG clients, using mathematical, statistical and predictive models in combination with consultancy business skills to find answers to complex business questions of our client companies.

You will design and implement new predictive analytical solutions applying a range of different methodologies and best-in-class technologies.

Understand customers process needs to advise clients on the best analytical practices, contributing to its own experience and inspiration for the success of the project.
Collaborate with Kantar Consulting Centre of Excellence in the definition of the product roadmap.
Develop analytics models to increase customer value and operational efficiency.
Design and develop advanced mathematical and statistical models to optimize sales and marketing processes for our FMCG customers.
Support the Project Team in all project phases.
Coach and mentor Junior Data Scientists.


Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Sciences.
Entrepreneurial spirit, Customer focus, and strong business acumen.
5+ years of relevant industry work experience providing advanced analytics solutions in a client facing roles, defining strategy, and delivering ground-breaking solutions.
Interest in developing and mentoring people at all levels and deliver highly innovative analytics services.
Passion for Data Science (Machine / Deep Learning, Language, Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research).
Strong knowledge of commonly used machine learning/optimization techniques.
Experience in programming languages (R / Python / Spark).
Deep understanding of analysis techniques, design, and modeling of relational databases and SQL language.
Capable of acting as a technical counterpart for existing or potential partners with strong business acumen combined with solid technical skills.
Ability to interact with people at different levels.
Problem solving and flexibility.
Willingness to travel to different client locations (up to 20% annual working time).
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Eligibility to work in Italy without sponsorship.
